Is this a wide-ranging position? Definitely. You will be involved in the application support of all our financial activities. That makes for a nice challenge, especially when you consider that we already have over 2,300 Action stores across Europe! And who knows where we may be adding more stores shortly. Your daily tasks


You will be the first point of contact for questions about Action’s financial applications and processes. You understand applications and how they are used in our business. This makes you the ideal financial support specialist for applications such as ECC, VIM, Ariba and Concur.
You daily tasks include dealing with user problems and support tasks. In addition, you spend much of each work week collaborating on various projects. For example, our Finance department is currently working on a big Source to Pay project, in which the Finance Application Support Specialist plays a crucial role.
Teamwork is also high on your agenda. You will coordinate priorities with your team and other stakeholders. If you notice conflicting priorities, you come up with an alternative everyone can support. You also keep an eye out for opportunities to improve our applications and processes.

Additionally:

  • You will collaborate closely with various Finance department colleagues, giving you the opportunity to learn a lot from these specialists
  • You will be a permanent sparring partner for the business with a view to offering even more added value

Your team



Projects & Systems is part of Action’s Finance Services department. Together with our Projects & Systems Manager, you and eight colleagues will work to optimise applications and implement new projects.
This is a diverse and ambitious department, where teamwork is valued and there is plenty of room to develop and use your initiative.

Customer focus, discipline and proactivity: these are the traits that characterise you. You are organised in your work, which means that you meet the agreed deadlines and observe guidelines. You are actively committed to achieving results and take a pragmatic approach. Working under time pressure only triggers you to work as efficiently as possible both independently and as part of a team.

Additionally:

  • You have a vocational (MBO level 4) or higher professional education degree, preferably related to finance
  • You have at least two years of operational experience and/or experience with key users or in support
  • Knowledge of Finance SAP applications is an asset
  • You are very customer-oriented and good at stakeholder management
  • You are known as an enthusiastic team player
  • You have an excellent command of English, both spoken and written
