Short description:
The Lead Solutions Architect will provide senior expertise designing and implementing robust, “fit for purpose” and security compliant Cloud and On Premises infrastructure solutions utilizing where possible latest technologies and innovations available.
The role is responsible for overseeing all infrastructure architectural work and for building, implementing and documenting the new solutions, as well as transitioning new BAU activities to appropriate Operations team including training where necessary. Additionally, this role will act as direct manager of less experienced members of the architect team providing support, mentorship and escalation point for critical issues.
Lastly, this role will be able to assess current cloud and infrastructure resources and determine any changes that may be needed, make recommendations and provide best practice to the Operations teams to ensure our Cloud and On Premises Infrastructure environment is optimized to meet business needs and company strategy.

Tasks in detail:
- Lead the solutions architect function from the technology point of view
- Manage, mentor and train less experienced members of the team
- Be escalation point for complex technical issues
- Suggest and implement improvements to cloud and on premises infrastructure to meet security guidelines, cost efficiencies and to optimize performance
- Design and deploy on premises and Cloud solutions aligned with company strategy or guide others to do so
- Act as SME for cloud infrastructure integrations projects in M&As and cloud transformation projects
- Conduct research on cloud and data center technologies and standards to support the development of technical solutions with latest innovations available
- Develop baseline configuration for Cloud and Datacenter solutions
- Work in coordination with Security function to identify gaps and security risks in the environment , suggest remediation plans and implement them or instruct others to do so
- Collaborate when necessary with the resolution of major infrastructure incidents or security incidents
- Own high level administration of HMI Cloud environment and implement best practice aligned with Hexagon Group and the other Hexagon divisions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, information security or related field
- One or more of the following certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Cybersecurity Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert, AWS Certified Solutions architect, VMware Certified Professional 6- Data Center Virtualization
- 7+ years related work experience.
- Extensive experience designing Azure or AWS technical solutions as well as in Azure Networking or AWS Advance Networking
- Experience managing enterprise migrations and transformations from on premises datacenter infrastructure to Cloud or Hybrid
- In depth architectural knowledge of either Linux or Windows, Databases (MS-SQL or Oracle DB with RAC), Web, Messaging, storage, networking and virtualization
